Throughout her career, Avery has worked with a diverse group of clients, helping them to navigate the complex demands of life transitions. As an experienced Career Counsellor, Avery is passionate about supporting clients of all ages on their career journeys and helping them make informed and intentional decisions. Whether it’s planning a new career path, transitioning into a new role, navigating workplace dynamics, or supporting career growth, Avery works with clients to foster their confidence to pursue their goals and achieve career fulfillment.
Her approach to Career Counselling centres on collaboration with clients to enact change within their lives in ways that will be both personally and professionally rewarding. Avery also works with clients to overcome the impacts that result from life and career transitions such as anxiety, depression, and changes in identity and self-esteem.
Avery’s warm and authentic approach emphasizes empowering clients by highlighting strengths and values as a catalyst for growth. A curious, empathetic, and pragmatic counsellor, Avery enjoys exploring with clients how to make career decisions and develop action plans that align with their values.
Avery is a Registered Psychologist and a member of the College of Alberta Psychologists and Psychologists’ Association of Alberta. She holds a Master of Counselling degree in Counselling Psychology from Athabasca University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Calgary.
Avery also offers Personal Counselling through our Synthesis Psychology practice. Her areas of specialty include managing depression, anxiety, and stress, as well as supporting clients with self-esteem and identity concerns.
